The feed pressure will directly affect the working conditions of the plate and frame filter press, and the separation effect of the plate and frame filter press is also closely related to it. In actual use, you will find that in the dehydration process of the filter press, the hydrostatic pressure reduces the porosity of the filter cake, so most of the water can be discharged, but if it is discharged only by increasing the static pressure of the fluid, the dehydration effect is not ideal.

The reason may be that with the increase of pressure, the porosity of filter cake gradually decreases, while the saturation of filter cake pores gradually decreases. However, when the saturation of the filter cake approaches the remaining saturation, the water content of the filter cake basically does not decrease.

The ash content of the input slurry is usually determined by the content of fine slurry formed in the washing process of argillaceous shale carried by clay minerals such as raw coal. Similarly, the content of fine mud in the slurry also determines the content of fine mud. The viscosity of the slurry will affect the filtration speed of the plate and frame filter press. However, these factors are almost uncontrollable in field production.
